@RogerF This sighting covers the insect perched within a Sundew which I thought this might interest you. Whilst photographing Sundews at Mulligans Flat I kept an eye out for any insects that might be surviving amongst them. This was the only one I saw. It appeared to be some type of grasshopper or cricket and was definitely not caught up in the Sundew. It was perching quite freely towards the centre of the plant. This was the best view I could get of it. I'll see if I can find any more next time I'm there. Tim

I think this is the first record from the ACT. I regularly check sundews for this bug so this is a good find.

Also recorded at Aranda and Kambah - but this is only the 5th record for our region
