The leaves are very unusual for C. tenax; it seems the same patch as https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/1946615. MichaelMulvaney have you ever seen flowers?

Timeline shows flowers. Seed was collected years ago and plants grown. Seed was collected this year for university research project. The plants are very small and not as vigorous as I have seen elsewhere.

ah thanks Mike so it might be just young foliage; the leaves in Cullen tenax (Tough Scurf-Pea) look more like those I know. Interesting.
