I thought that Cryptandra amara has replaced the old name C.amara var. longifolia. The one in the picture is the old name C. amara var. florabunda which was renamed Cryptandra sp. Floriferous (W.R.Barker 4131) W.R.Barker.

This is most likely Cryptandra sp. Floriferous (W.R.Barker 4131) W.R.Barker. as the leaf edges are curled under, which the C. amara groups doesn't show.

Both species occur here. I have used flower colour to separate them, but I could be wrong.

Both species can turn pink, but not always do. I've been stumped by these guys for some time and have spent this winter reading up on them and following their colour change in several spots around Canberra. I'm still only 90% sure.

Cryptandra sp. floriferous flowers appear slightly before Cryptandra amara flowers. The flowers are different C. amara that used to be called C. amara var longiflora has a notable longer bell flower. I made a mistake in my comment and called C. amara var. longifolia instead it should have been called C. amara var longiflora.
