User's notes

Noting the deadwood and the splayed effect of the branches I wonder if this tree has sprung back after a central trunk was destroyed or blasted by lightning. Covered in flowers attracting many flies. The flowers had a distinctive aroma like warm toffee. Some scribbles on the main branches. E. Rossii ?
