User's notes

As a follow-on to the bee sighting, there were many wasps around the base of the tree with the bee hive. I also noticed that they were flying around the tables set up in the nearby courtyard where we were served tea and cakes. I watched a wasp stalk and catch and kill a honey bee. It than began to feed on it as you can clearly see the jaws in the first photo. Two more wasps then came to join in. I mentioned the wasps to the ladies and one said the wasps were a problem and only came near people when they brought out sweet stuff. Since they don't know where the nest is I suggested they get some traps from Bunnings as they don't want a guest being stung while drinking their tea.
