User's notes

Beautiful circle of leaf folded over on itself to create a hide. 2 found on one kurrajong leaf. Cat is smooth, black/brown head and green "neck". I'll do my best to look after them.

@WendyEM I've uploaded a photo from today - pic 5. I don't think it's D. clytysalis. It eats the whole thickness of the leaf rather than skeletonising and each pod only holds 1 cat.

Interesting caterpillar. It does appear not to be D. clytysalis.I have not found an alternative idea. Fingers crossed youy can keep them going and answer the mystery. Caterpillars can be tricky and change colour etc between different instars to further keep us guessing.

Dead (alive) Ringer for the larvae on Wiki attached to iNat for the species. I was being too narrow minded and only looking for a "moth" and not considering all Lep!
An excellent record. Well done.
