User's notes

Garden extension under power line in the Inner Asset Protection Zone IAPZ; 5 planted mature shrubs / small trees and many small recruits; fallen branch of Apple box shown in 1st photo connects with the garden extension. Issues: weeds invasion, fire hazard, electrical power line. These issues are of less priority compared to the local Cassinia planted by FoMM away from tracks and from IAPZ, that had to be removed :-( With permission from PCS, that included the planting schedule, the species and the numbers, FoMM planted various natives ground cover and shrub along and in the drainage line away from IAPZ to replace 100s of woody weeds that volunteers removed, not PCS, not the Fire Unit. The replacement planting was to provide habitat, shading cover to reduce new weed invasion including from those garden extensions, and to control erosion along edges of the drainage ditch.
