As far as I know, this is a new site for this rare species and it is in an area due to be burnt tomorrow

Went for a quick look this morning. I can see that the area has been marked out. Also ran into the Aranda area ranger and the fire crew who said they will wet it down and attempt to keep various patches of other orchids safe that have been marked on their maps.
