Resprouting Blue Gum, the cut surface at base of this young Blue Gum is about 8cm in diameter. Cutting with saw is too slow, the insufficient treatment results in multistem growth; better frill (see https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4718979) or cut, retrieve saw, spray cut and repeat; either use this method to cut down the tree or frill around stem; see example of a Cootamundra wattle here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/61627737@N03/albums/72157626548694670/
