Unfortunately the photos do not show any distinguishing features of this beetle so it’s impossible to say whether this is Selagis formosa or S. caloptera

Thanks Mark - I will go back and see if I can find it again - unfortunately I bumped teh branch and it fell down

I was able to edit one of the photos by lightening up the shadows sufficient to readily see that this is Selagis caloptera. Cheers, Allen M. Sundholm
