Raised from a green looper caterpillar that was eating the Aquilegia seeds.

If you still have it can you get a shot of the hindwings. It is probably Helicoverpa punctigera which has a dark band across the hindwing with no breaks in it. Was the green larva a bit striped longitudinally? With some hairs along the body.
