A, interesting -looking species in the buprestid genus Melobasis, and if possible it and any others like it need to be donated to the ANIC in Canberra. Looks like it is in the Melobasis purpurescens species group for which a modern revision is awaited. Perhaps Mark H might be in a better position to ID this to a species. Cheers, Allen M. Sundholm.
