Saw this female Swamp Wallaby hopping beside the road, obviously blind. Called the Rangers and managed to catch and hold her until the Ranger arrived. Animal hat to be euthanised as it had a deadly parasite that causes the blindness and is identified by the notches in the ears. It will go the the ANU researcher who is hoping to identify the parasite
Thanks Jill, she was jumping around, bumping into the guard rail, fences and trees and hopping onto the road so I'm glad I got her before she was hit by a car. Hope they're able to find out what the parasite is and a cure for it
