That solo pale Research Grade example lacks the dark fringe that all the others have, although one on BOLD lacks the dark fringe but that specimen is quite golden yellow. I am not convinced but not yet found an alternative.

Perhaps, but there seems to be no evidence here of the pair of dots on each forewing which are present on the Bold (Hobern) examples and present on all but the very washed out iNaturalist ones.
