OK Maybe my suggestion is wrong then. Is this what your moth looks like https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations?place_id=6744&quality_grade=research&taxon_id=232606
There are also a couple of other introduced carpet/jumper moths e.g. https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations?place_id=6744&preferred_place_id=6744&quality_grade=research&taxon_id=398145
Please note some indigenous moths e.g. Monopis sp may be described as 'Wool Moths' but in my experience ( I gained carpet moth from a rental house in the '80s) our local fellas are way more interested in my chook house, ferret accommodation, dog beds etc and not interested in my wool or silk garments, furniture or carpets. It is possible to do bio control for carpet moths. A company (on line) sells (at some expense) tiny parasitic wasps to release in your house. We have been considering trying this but not done it yet.
