It appears that iNat has had a rethink about Barea dryocoetes although the BOLD ones do look like this https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/taxa/771645-Barea-dryocoetes https://bold-au.hobern.net/specimens.php?taxid=535263 I have always been unsure how to separate iNat Barea dryocoetes & Opsitycha squalidella https://bold-au.hobern.net/specimens.php?taxid=415075
OK, so what is the difference between tis species and Barea dryocoetes? which this sort of moth, at this location, have been identified as in previous seasons
I have no particular opinion on this, except the specimens we get in Canberra look the same to me. I consider them to be one of the same. I am not a taxo, so someone needs to decide which name, one or other, we should use for these..
