Hi @nic.jario, I remember one killed near there sometime between 2010 and 2016 as well. Maybe a female if I remember right.
This looks to be a male, yes? Can you please add the sex to your record if you havent done that already?
Is it possible that this is one of the two that were released a few years ago at Mulligans? I think one of those was found dead but could this be the other? (I really don't know what happened to them). They were 'desexed' males so possibly castrated. And I expect they had PIT tags (microchips). It does not say but did you scan the carcass for a PIT? There was also at least one other PIT tagged one released that had been rescued from dogs in a suburban backyard in around 2007 to 2010.

If you want DNA, may I suggest you store some tissue (e.g. a small ear punch) in 95% ethanol and provide excellent labelling. The tissue sample(s) could be kept separately, for redundancy, and preferably also frozen. One excellent possibility is to lodge material with the ANWC here in Canberra. Leo.Joseph@csiro.au

Are there any Spotted-tailed Quolls at Mulligan's currently?

Not that I have heard. They have not announced any.

Hi Don, we scanned for a tag and it wasn't chipped. Sex is male, added to the record notes. I can confirm that it isn't one of the individuals released into Mulligans. I'm liaising with ONC re the DNA. I'll pass on your notes. Thanks, Nic
