Thanks Lois - your images seem to rule out the possibilities I was considering from the earlier recording of this patch. Malvastrum coromandelianum is the best match I can get but this is a tropical weed and the hairiness of the underside of the leaf does not match with the Malvastrum.- would be good to make a collection for herbarium identification when it next flowers
