User's notes

Unsure what this was as I haven't seen this before. The various white and tan structures appeared to be growing from a wet mass of leaves and other material. The complete structure was about 50mm in overall diameter and within it were several globular structures. Each of these had distinct shallow hexagonal cell-like structures formed on the surface. The image contrast has been adjusted to enhance these structures and make them more visible. The final image shows straight red coloured thread-like filaments that were growing within and out of the mass, presumably associated with it. Possibly a mould or fungus? Have placed the sighting under Slime Moulds for now.

Great shot Tim but this is a fungus rather than a myxo due to the 'solid state' of formation
