Wingless Soldier Fly love. Last photo shows female laying eggs. Lots of that going on.

Is this the same female . In which case what is the time difference between mating and laying?

Different female @RogerF. There were at least a dozen different females on my front fence, only saw a couple of males and only this one interaction between female and male.
