For mine, the reniform mark does not look right for P. hyraecioides (the presumed 'tail' is on the wrong side) See Sighting No 4656689 . Like for Sighting 4656689 this moth also has a large orbicular mark and a second smaller one closer to the base of the forewing, it looks quite similar to Moths of Victoria's 'Proteuxoa sp. (11)'. (Part 9). I think we could justify creating a new category a category: 'Proteuxoa sp. (11) (MoV)' for these two sightings.
OK. See Sighting 4656689 where the similalrity of a similar moth to MoV's 'Proteuxoa sp. (11) was first raised. If we create a category for un-named species in a genus on NatureMapr which correspond with the published un-named MoV species then at least we can search for them there. Several of the moth moderators also have personal copoies of the Moths of Victoria published Parts 1-9 and their supporting discs so they can also search for them there.
The full set of Moths of Victoria (Parts 1-9) can be purchased online for a reasonable cost, see below:- https://www.entsocvic.org.au/store/p/moths-of-victoria-complete-set-of-nine-parts The supporting discs for each volume come with each published Part in a pocket inside the back cover.
I do most of my moderating on my phone. The MOV images are not available to a mobile. Also how do I see a set of images of the unnamed species in a category on NatureMapr ?
At the moment you have to search within the genus, say, for example, Proteuxoa (genus), or in the field guide for created un-named species categories. On NatureMapr 'Collections' can be created. Perhaps that would be a way of setting up searchable groupings, such as for Proteuxoa where this would be useful.
