Spreading Blue Periwinkle (variegated form) planted behind the backyard by the (original) owner of the residence . Many other weeds are included in this garden extension such as Agapanthus, Ivy, ornamental plum etc (other invasive weeds may have been planted by birds). With additional moisture discharge from the new storm-water outlet (see https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4653446), the speed of spreading of the Blue Periwinkle may increase along the swale that runs parallel to the backyards. Members of the Friends of Mt Majura ParkCare group reported the garden extension to the land manager many times in the past 20 years.
