Online S. plagotis is only recorded as occurring in Tasmania and southern Victoria. BOLD only has Scoparia plagiotis specimens from Tasmania. This record, if correctly identified this may be a record confirming an extension of known range into high altitude NSW.

User's notes

Scoparia plagiotis? Light attracted individual. Appeared abundant in low riverside scrub.

Yes, I think you may be correct. Although S. ochrophara is very similar looking. Both occur (according to iNaturalist) in Tasmania and southern Victoria, but S. ochrophara has been recorded before in this regioi\n, BOLD only has S, plagiotis specimens from Tasmania.
