I was wondering where the antennae were. This ant looks like an ant mimicking spider mimicking ant.

Ride of the headless horseant .
Generally ants will continue operating without gasters for quite a while. Headless the head would work for a while but if the body was still moving it must have been a clean and recent decapitation :)
