Nice find, well done. Just need to species level. Only the one subspecies in our region.
Status:
ACT - Rare highland resident with restricted distribution (Suzi Bond 2016, 2018).
NSW - Common but very local (Michael Braby 2016).

@owenh good to know! How exciting, I just thought they were pretty, and knew it was one of the Blues because of the ants!

Nice to see the larvae, however if you find a few adults around a tree then you can be pretty certain they have bred there or very nearby, given the biology of this species.

Yes @DPRees125 , I totally agree with you. But may I add, however, if we take on the 'task' of moderating a subject we need to be 100% certain (not pretty certain).

My comment needs to said to qualify your rather 'black and white' one. Red literally some might think this species is a migrant that comes and goes and breed here occasionally, when that is not the case. Would have been better to say these are the first images of larvae of an elusive/scare resident posted here, a significant event, with all that implies - which you can demonstrate to a 100%.
