Have not seen the animal but looks like possums are in the apple tree

Hi Maren, Any apple tree is likely to have both BT Possums and Black/Roof/Ship Rats in it and could also have visits from Grey Headed Flying Foxes. I cant guess the scale here (which matters a lot in this case) but they look like rat droppings. So I have not confirmed your sighting, yet. The key question is how big are those scats?

Hi Don, they were about 20 mm long. Much bigger than rat droppings I've seen around here, though I don't know about native rats.
