This fungus rapidly emerged on a E blakelyi on our nature strip in Fraser in December 2024.

This appear to be a decaying or weathered Laetiporus portentosus which are quite common on many species of eucalypts

The growth was systematically removed today by galahs interested in the tree hollow. See photos of a large chunk which fell down once the main connection to the tree was chewed through.
