There are 19 species in this genus many of them found locally and difficult to tell apart in the field. Kosciuscola are all montane and alpine.

Yet another look, much soul searching and compared with other sightings I've decided its an uncommon species of Praxibulus, possibly P stali or P duplex but with c.12 local species to choose from just a guess.

I appreciate (and apologise for ) the soul searching roger! Honestly these grasshoppers all look entirely different and exactly the same to me.
