User's notes

Matthew Connors has indicated on the Orthopteroids group that it's not Ephippitytha maculata, Ephippitytha froggatti, and Caedicia simplex which were iNat's suggestions. Comment was: It’s none of those - best I can do for now is Phaneropterinae! It may or may not be described.

The white margin to the pronotum suggests this is a shield backed katydid in the sub-family Tettigoniinae (not Phaneropterinae), possibly Chlorodectes sp. Its a male Vth instar nymph and is brachypterous. I think C. baldersoni is recorded from Bungonia. It's an opportunistic omnivore

@RogerF My sighting Ephippitytha trigintiduoguttata (Mottled Katydid) would also be the same species. Alison

The banding on hind tibiae suggests an Ephippitytha not a Tettigoniine.

@RogerF Hi Roger, This is very confusing as this looks like the same species as sighting Phaneropterinae (subfamily) (Leaf Katydid, Bush Katydid) for which you gave a different classification.
