Why does the second picture look different from the first ?
On what Acacia was it feeding?
Can you get a photo of the head and thorax?

The picture looks different because I was holding the branch and turning it around to photograph it from the other side. I might also have moved some leaves out of the way. I could never photograph the caterpillar and I doubt that I could ever find it again. I don't know what species of acacia it was. Sorry Don. I will try to do better next time.
