Also similar to Barea micropis? A number of Barea spp. seem to display this general pattern but the black spots are larger here, by surrounded by sooty black.

I cannot tell them apart. The variance in their patterns seems to exceed their differences.

Yes, the ywo species very similar, buT B. asbolaea also not6ible for having been introduced to Cornwall (UK) from southern Australia presumably horticullurally on fern species.
