The little black ants - I put a note in the "associated insect" field that they were attacking or scavenging a myrmecia nigriceps, but it doesn't show up on this page for some reason

Yes, the big ant is Myrmecia simillima, and the little ants are Iridomyrmex, possibly Iridomyrmex mayri. Cheers, Jon
