The larva projecting from the case has a black and white pattern like

so is likely Lepidoscia sp., not Conoeca sp., despite the cases being indistinguishable.
We should go through all the ambiguous immature cases to see if any others show the larva , so they can be separated into the likely unambiguous genus.
