It has started eating now: ignored the foliage and eats all parts of the flower.

Thanks donhe, and yes I have taken it in - will see what happens next. I read though that often females of these can't be observed as they remain in the case their whole life?

If it is the Australian Conoeca species, and for several Lepidoscia species, both the females and males have wings, and emerge from the case.

Caterpillar of moth in sighting 4636716. This was confirmed as Trigonocyttara clandestina.
