The boundary between the dark thorax and the yellow forewing is a sharp point, not a 'smooth bulge'. C. cyclotoma has a yellow head.

I'm not sure that I see any difference between this moth and many of the Merocroca automima sightings on NatureMapr but I'm probably not skilled enough to see the distinction.
