I think this is something else with the white patch adjacent to the thorax, the mottling on the wings, and I think it might be too small. Is that a bi-pinnate wattle it is sitting on? I will do some looking.

@WendyEM - yes it's bipinnate, my guess is a silver wattle.

You're right Don, I could not find an alternative to suggest. The strange mottling on the wings I think is something to do with the photo
