Thanks @MattBeitzel and @BrianSummers. There hve been plenty of Fallow and Sambar Deer posted to Nature Mapper but I haven't seen a Red Deer posted from the ACT for years, and believe the Clear Range ones may have been shot out. However this record is so close to Kowen Forest and the Kowen area generally, that maybe they are in there now too. Any thoughts Brian?

There used to be a herd in the Retallacks Hole/Ginninderry area 10-15 years ago but i havent seen it recently. Ill ask if we have had any on the camera arrays but I cant recall any. Barnsley may know.

G'day Don. Fair chance they are in Kowen, though chances of sighting them slim.....not often we are there v early or v late :-). Interestingly no recent reds sighted at G'gong.....
