A new species for NatureMapr and for NatureMapr's Canberra and Southern Tablelands region when confirmed. An exciting find of a moth species with only a handful of records from life visible online. The ALA records the type specimen is from Western Australia. The ALA's only records are from Western Australia. I have yet to check on BOLD 4 because its currently offline, but I have yet to see a record online from eastern Australia.,
Intriguingly, BOLD 5'x records seem to be all from Western Australia. https://www.boldsystems.org/index.php/Taxbrowser_Taxonpage?taxon=Eochrois+caminias&searchTax=Search+Taxonomy
