Yes I believe this one is a known site. Must've been planted at some stage

Hi. since it is listed as local I wonder why 'must've been planted'. Are the locations nearby where it occurs naturally? There are more on the other side of Belco Way. Cheers, John

Doubtful it’s been planted intentionally rather than grown from dumped garden waste. For several decades this bock was sandwiched between the new Belco suburbs (Aranda, Macquarie) and the tip on what is now CIT. This tip was closed in the 1970s.

It is listed as local as i've imported the species from another project, sorry about the confusion there! Leptospermum polygalifolium is a plant of coastal systems and largely does not occur naturally on the southern tablelands (the one exception being a few small areas of Morton & Budawang NP). Certainly, it's not native to the ACT.

Garden waste sounds light a plausible explanation

Bum. I've been growing and planting quite a few on the assumption that it was local. Any suggestions for an alternative and where to get seed?

I'd recommend Leptospermum continenale. It's quite common in BM sandstone communities so should be readily available (i'm guessing you've got a collection permit). Otherwise Karen and Cool country might have some
