I see a larger dark casemoth case, but what is the paler smaller item on it?
Is it a stripey moth or another smaller paler ribbed case?

It is a rather unusual shape for a moth, Did it have legs? Did it fly off when you annoyed it?
So the 'moth' was about 1cm long, and the dark brown case about 2cms long?
