User's notes

The material that the pupa was enclosed in was extremely tuff. I have collected it.

I have no idea when it emerged. It could have been months ago. It is very dead and worn now but maybe someone can identify it.

I keep my pupated caterpillar bottles on the kitchen windowsill where I can glance every morning to see if anything has emerged overnight.

Not Leptocneria reducta which has a hairy pupa. Maybe Anthela ocellata ?

@kasiaaus : was the cocoon attached to anything : wall or twig or leaf etc ?

It was attached to tree bark. On a eucalyptus, I think.
