I think it is E mannifera - no compression lines - which definitely occur in that area as well as E rossii

This species is a prime producer of tree hollows as Phil will know; not necessarily because it drops more branches compared to say old E bridgesiana trees, which is not a good hollow producer, but tends to drop large branches or the whole tree falls over mainly in wet season following drought.
