I removed a lot of Agapanthus in this area before, plus many other garden escapes and planted woody weeds including Cootamundra wattles. A never ending job! Government has stopped all education: no more "Bush friendly garden" exhibition at Floriade, no more "Are your garden plants going bush" brochures, no more "Swap your environmental weed for a native plant" events. Seems there is a tacit agreement among government and agency staff that volunteers will forever do the job removing weeds.
