The sighting number 4571304 posted yesterday was incorrectly confirmed as Acrida conica (Giant green slantface). The insects are definitely preying mantises, please see closer up photos attached. Sorry for the clarity of the other photos posted. They are definitely clearer photos on my phone. Both insects were on the same plant. During the weeding process of the fleabane from the grasslands by hand in the weeks after, many of these insects were observed on the fleabane; 15+ CarbonA1 has suggested Green Mantid.
