Thanks to Barbara for the initial sighting of the weevil. Close inspection of the images shows a passenger on the weevil's wing casing, towards the centre of the first image. This is shown in greater detail in following sighting 4570654. The final image is a macro stack showing the scales that make up the pattern on this type of weevil.
