User's notes

Might be a skipper. Note that location is very approximate since this speciment was caught in an air intake on a car.

Is this not a male Pasture Day Moth (Apina callisto) underside image?

In the white antemedial patch under the forewing : A. callisto has a black rectangle rather than the round black spot shown in this photo.

Thanks. Please see true A. feisthamelii underside image in CNM Sighting 3869303 for comparison to above (no spot in same).
Additionally, MoV 8 CD notes feisthamelii as a 'day flying species found in subalpine grasslands' while 'Moths in the ACT' (Cocking, Bond, Edwards, 2022) inform us feisthamelii 'flies for a restricted period from mid spring to early summer.'
