I saw one somewhere close by there a couple of years ago and
did not realise they are uncommon here, so just bagged it with the other weeds

I don't miss the burrs we had at the farm! Once they got burrs on them, we had to cut them, pile them up into mountains and later burn them as bonfires. Welding gloves were essential PPE.
