At least 6 pairs of Pied Lacewings at various stages of mating: 1. looking for a partner; 2. Male (slightly larger) using RH elbow to clasp the LH antenna of the female; 3. Moving to a parallel position with a firm grasp on the antenna; 4. Mating; 5. The male flew away, the female drew her abdomen up to her mouth and started to eat the gelatinous sperm sack (speratophore). She flew away with the spermatophore attached before consuming it all.
