Face markings quite pale in comparison to the yellow collar

Thanks Michael, I hadn't picked up on that. I have added a third photo that shows the difference in colour compared to other Hylaeus species on the same flower.

Interesting, Anna - this is the first one observed in this region, and the first one south of Sydney.
