Fastmoving flying from flower to flower. General impression of colour was dull yellow and light brown

it was too pale and too large and no white markings so probably not a white banded grass dart. It looked nothing like the previous photo of a white banded grass dart posted below by Christine in the nearby sightings.

I don't think it is a moth. The way the wings are held is like a type of skipper but I can't find one that looks right. The yellow ochre, bronze flat and the orange swift have some similarities and are about the right colours.

Definitely a moth, in the second image you can see that the antennae have no clubbed tips which if present would make this a butterfly. If you can please make a suggestion of moths in the identification history, then the moth moderators can suggest a species for it.
